A non-repairable vehicle is a vehicle which has no resale value and is not safe to have use on road or highways and has been accepted as a part of thrown out products. You, as the owner of this type of vehicle have to apply for non-repairable title to rebuilt so that you can get the non-repairable certificate after the application procedure is being done. Non-repairable title to rebuilt can also be called as a Non-repairable certificate or Salvage Certificate. It is a document of ownership issued to the owner of a non-repairable vehicle, by the state. There is no such cost required for the application procedure of non-refundable certificate. A vehicle that has got the non-repairable title to rebuilt or salvage certificate might get a chance to rebuild as a road worthy but need to go through a Rebuilt procedure of vehicle.

Who can apply for a Non-repairable Title?
If you are an owner of a vehicle for less than ten years, you can surely go for the application of Salvage Certification or non-repairable title to rebuilt. This title for your vehicle will prevent your vehicle from being operated on the Tennessee roadways. This will also prevent your vehicle for not being registered or titled in the Tennessee state.
Process to obtain Non-Repairable Title to Rebuilt or Salvage Certificate:
To obtain a Salvage or Non-repairable title to rebuilt you have to do mail to the revenue department, Unit of Anti-theft, Nashville, 500 Deaderick Street, Tennessee 37242 and Special Investigations.
You have to prepare an application for obtaining non-repairable title to rebuilt. The application for certification is only accepted via mail but not hand-in hand.
Thus, these are the following steps which outline the procedures of converting a Salvage certificate to a Non-Repairable Title to Rebuilt.
The first step is to mail to the department that has already been stated or mentioned above.
Coloured Photograph of the vehicle in wrecked condition is needed.
Receipts required for all the parts that have been replaced.
A fee of $75 is needed.
Documentations and Applications are accepted only via mail but not in hand to hand.
There are certain receipts which are required for obtaining a Rebuilt title, these are:
Receipt showing complete name of the buyer and mailing address.
Complete name of the seller and his mailing address.
The year of rebuilt and VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) of the removed parts of the vehicles.
A receipt of the copy of the front as well as the back side of the certificate is needed which is a proof for non-repairable title.
If some new parts were introduced, receipts mentioning those parts are needed.
There is an urgent need for rebuilt vehicles to undergo a thorough inspection to have protection for all the parties involved and to prevent from fraud deeds. The non-repairable title or certificate has stamp of certificate and should return to the vehicle owner with all required materials to be submitted but not photographs. You as an owner should take all the required documents to your local clerk to obtain the non-repairable title and its registration.
If you purchase a vehicle under a non–repairable title or certificate of destruction, there are so many restrictions on the registration of the vehicle or on retitling of the destructive vehicle are found. There may be few conditions upon which the registration of the vehicles depends.

Types of Non-Repairable Titles:
There are so many types of titles usually given to the non-repairable vehicles depending upon degree of damage and places of injury. Follow all the types that are written below:
Normal /Original / Clean: The vehicle which has not faced any major incident yet will be given the title as a ‘Clean Vehicle’. Above ninety per cent of the vehicles in the U.S road is classified as the Clean Vehicles.
Rebuilt: This type of vehicle can be rearranged to be driven on the road again. The percentage of devaluation of this type of vehicle is only 25 to 35 per cent over the original value of the vehicle.
Salvage: This type of vehicle is having damage that costs more than 75 per cent of the value of the car. For this specific title of ‘Salvage’ given to the vehicles, these vehicles cannot be insured and are not eligible for bank financing. But often these vehicles can be put back into services after it has been repaired and inspected.
Non- Repairable: Till now twenty states has used this non-repairable title or brand name to prevent the vehicles from using any more. Only the parts of the vehicles are left out to be exported. But the Commonwealth of Kentucky permits has given license to rebuilders to process this type of title branding to a salvage branded title, is only one exception.
